Fatal ambulance crash

On 28 May 2026, an ambulance belonging to our Ukrainian NGO Artesans-ResQ was involved in a head-on-collision near Lviv whilst on an emergency transfer mission. The vehicle has been completely destroyed, as has most of the medical equipment. One crew member remains in a critical condition in the intensive care unit in Lviv. Since 2022, ArtesansResQ have been our most reliable partners for medical evacuations (MedEvac) and specialise in the interhospital transfer of children requiring intensive care. The organisation is directly accredited by the Ukrainian MoH and the WHO. In addition to the human tragedy, the loss of paediatric intensive care transport capacity is also a major concern. We are collecting donations to replace the medical equipment. A detailed list of the required equipment is available from us via email in English.
